RAMANATHAN, the founder & Managing Director of ABIRAAME POPULAR JEWELLERS(S) PTE LTD entered the business from a very young age. He started his journey assisting his father's ongoing jewellery business during school holidays. After completing studies in 2001 and national service, took the first step to becoming an entrepreneur as a Sales Man in his father's business. He not only concentrated on improving selling skills, but also took keen interest in every aspect of running the business successfully and profitably so much, so that in a short period of time was acknowledged as the ‘Maverick Entrepreneur’ in the jewellery trade.

RAMANATHAN participated and attended several jewellery exhibitions to bring the best of contemporary and traditional jewellery designs to multiracial customers of Singapore. His first includes the GEM STONE jewels in 2003. He is so passionate, introduced the RUBY and EMERALD jewels in 2005. He went on to learning gemstones recommendations based on date of birth to provide a ‘Personalised Service’ to the customers. He also underwent a course in DIAMOND stones and its uses in jewellery. He set up a workshop with skilled artisans to provide custom design and after sales service, a new concept in the trade in Singapore. This positioned his business as one-stop-shop for design, sales and after sales service. He is a well-rounded trustworthy vendor in this trade.

RAMANATHAN constantly brought in innovative ideas to improve the business. Loyalty Membership programme in 2010 was the first and a big hit in the Little India, Singapore Jewellery Trade, that others followed suit. Realising the needs and aspirations of middle class, offered them the Monthly Gold Savings scheme to realise their dreams. Truly a businessman with the mind on the quality designs and a big heart for the customers.
